‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Mini Film Cell

0

I recently acquired a mini film cell from an up and coming horror store called Horror Warehouse, it was for the ‘I Know…’ film and just looks damn good in my slowly building horror collection.

Here it is in all its glory:

I Know...

Make sure to stop by http://www.horrorwarehouse.com for all your Horror related needs!

Oh and on Wikipedia on a fourth entry in the franchise:

In 2008, it was suggested that there could be a fourth sequel to the series, ignoring the third film entirely. The film, supposedly titled Last Summer 3D, would mark the beginning of a new trilogy in the series, similar to role of the 2011 film Scream 4, and would feature the main cast of the first two films. Initially, the film was given a release date of April 20, 2011. However, it was later announced that production was cancelled. There are currently no knew proposals for future films in the series.

Damn Crokerland ;)

[Article] ‘Film 2000 Shock Horror Collection’ Label

1

 (Best quality)

This is just a small article on a label I have found over the past few years over here in Northern Ireland (UK basically). I used to find these everywhere like in old book and dvd stores, HMV, Virgin Media (when it was still open), NV as well I think, They were cheap indie horror films to say the least.

I will update this article with all my ‘Film 2000 Shock Horror Collection’ films, just to show you the style and substance they’ve had on the B movie genre.

Unfortunately there is no official Film 2000 website anymore – there was one quite a while ago with the full library and new releases on the front page, crude but that just like the label. To be honest there were a select few favourites I loved in the collection, films like ‘Jigsaw‘, and ‘Shower of Blood‘ two good titles that could have had made part of a fun night in.

I miss these days, the thrill of opening a film not knowing anything about other that ‘what a brilliant cover design’ or just the label banner adorning the front of it. eBay here I come!

I could trawl through my film collection and list some others but here’s some more:

You could say their releases were crude or schlock horror, but in my opinion it was just your standard indie horror with a few gems thrown in for good measure. I miss theNow my question is, Film 2000 are you still operating? Can’t seem to track down any information on it, or many of their films released through the label. If anyone has any other titles or even a release list, then please contact me using the either the form here or reply to this article – would be very much appreciated.

Queens Film Theatre – Apparitions: The Spectral Screen

0

As I was in the bank today I picked up a catalogue of all things happening in belfast over the next month or two and was surprised to see multiple horror (yes, horror!) films being shown at the Queens Film Theatre.

Check all the October showing here.

Of them all I’d definitely like to see:

Blithe Spirit

Date: 22/10/11 @ 4PM

A very different take on the ghost story, Blithe Spirit was adapted from Noel Coward’s play of the same name and directed by the great David Lean.

Full of Coward’s customary wit, the film stars Rex Harrison as novelist Charles Condomine. When Charles decides to hold a seance at home, hosted by the eccentric medium Madame Arcati (the wonderful Margaret Rutherford) the ghost of his ex-wife Elvira is conjured up, something his current (and very much alive) wife Ruth is none too happy about…

The Haunting

Date: 24/10/11 9.15PM

A genuinely scary adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s novel, The Haunting of Hill House.

Focusing on a group of paranormal investigators who are staying in the house in a bid to uncover its secrets, The Haunting evokes a creeping sense of terror and has one of cinema’s scariest moments ever. Martin Scorsese rated it his number one scary film and who are we to disagree?

The Blair Witch Project – Would love to see the audience’s reactions since it was released.

Date: 25/10/11 9.15PM

By playing on our innate fear of the unknown, The Blair Witch Project continues to inspire fear and provides proof that it doesn’t take a blockbuster budget to make a truly terrifying horror film.

Ringu – (This is a cert)

Date: 27/10/11 9.15PM

A grainy, enigmatic videotape has the power to kill people seven days after they watch it.

Fans of the US remake will find a less elaborate storyline and more primal fear in the original version; the basic plot, however, still has a worried reporter (Nanako Matsushima) tracking down the meaning of the video–and, having watched it herself, she has only a week to work it out.

There are quite a few more but these are the ones I’d certainly check out. These all take place in the same venue so I’ll be doing an article on how it goes (audience reactions, images from the event etc.)

New Titles Just In!

0

Reviews and info going online for the films Atrocious and Episode 50 – more ‘found footage’ type films but hey they were cheap so what’s the harm?

Still looking for some independent/indie films to be sent in to review.

There wil also be a proper shop for some stock of DVD’s that need to shift, so wait for that in the next day or two.

More reviews coming asap! I’ve been quite ill recently so that’s the main reason for not updating SoD so often, but I’ll have a ton of reviews/trailers/links in the coming days.

Stay tuned!
